I am writing today to let you know that we will be closed for in-person worship this Sunday, November 15th and next Sunday, November 22nd with the hope that we will be re-opened on Advent 1. We are taking this step as a Diocese, to help slow the spread of COVID cases across the province by limiting our contacts with others. While we are confident in the measures we have taken to make the Cathedral a safe place, following the protocols for social distancing and safety carefully, I believe this is the right decision given the sudden rise in cases across our city and the strain that we are seeing in our hospitals.
I encourage you to join us in prayer online as we continue to live stream our services on Youtube each Sunday morning at 11am. We have also been preparing resources for Advent that you will be able to utilize from home that we will begin to send out as Advent begins. Additionally, if you would like to join the Wednesday evening zoom book study and time of prayer, please contact Sara and we will send you the link for that service.
As we watch the numbers of cases of COVID rise in our city and province, I invite you to pray with me for all those who are living in fear, for those who mourn the loss of a loved one due to this virus, and those who are isolated and alone. This is a time when we need to pray for one another and to pray with one another.
God bless you and keep you.
