Reverend Ruth is the Vicar at All Saints' Cathedral. Throughout her time in the diocese she has worked as an assistant chaplain at the University of Alberta, coordinator at PrayerWorks (a community support program at St. Faith’s in the Alberta Avenue neighbourhood), as a curate and rector at St. Mary’s in the Highlands neighbourhood, and as interim priest at the Inner City Pastoral Ministry downtown and the Anglican Parish of Christ Church in the Wîhkwêntôwin neighbourhood.
Rev. Ruth is passionate about nurturing faith communities that not only make space, but that celebrate, center, and give voice to parishioners of all ages, especially those who live with physical, neural, and socioeconomic challenges - acknowledging that we as a faith community aren’t whole or healthy until everyone is present at the table.
Along with her ministry at All Saints,' Rev. Ruth serves as the chair of both the Diocesan Advisory and Response Team and the Abuse and Harassment Policy Revision Team. She is also a member of the Examining Chaplains.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, experimenting (not always successfully) in her urban garden, and spending time exploring the mountains with her husband Dawson.
